Wielki sukces naszej drużyny debatanckiej! Aleksandra Bober, Amelia Głuszak (obie z klasy 1 MYP1), Magda Styś (1 MYP2) i Michał Multan (2 MYP1) zajęli 4. miejsce w Mistrzostwach Polski Debat Oksfordzkich w Języku Angielskim „Muszkieterowie Słowa„, które odbyły się w dniach 13.05-15.05.2021.
Nasz młody zespół zaprezentował wysoki poziom erudycji, umiejętności debatanckich, retorycznych i językowych.
Drużyna dotarła do półfinału Mistrzostw, w którym musiała uznać wyższość późniejszego mistrza turnieju – XIV LO z Warszawy. W debacie o miejsce 3. miejsce nasza ekipa minimalnie przegrała z gospodarzami turnieju, VI LO z Bydgoszczy.

Oto tezy turnieju, do których przygotowywał się zespół:

• Poland should introduce a law that penalizes the dissemination of fake news related to COVID-19.
• Affirmative actions towards ethnic minorities in the process of recruitment is harmful for all sides involved.
• In the 21st century, the war on terrorism has caused more instability in the world than terrorism would have caused itself.
• If I were Witold Pilecki I would have left the country in 1946.
• The Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 should be canceled.
• Access to the Internet does more harm than good for school-age children.
